From the Washington Beltway, 495, take Exit 25, Rt.1 South toward College Park; turn left on Greenbelt Road (MD Rt. 193). Less than a mile, turn left onto Branchville Road (look for signs to Lake Artemesia). You'll drive through an old industrial area that includes a Washington Post plant. Follow around to Berwyn Road., take a left (don't park in the Lake Artemesia lot). Go one block, park in the Sports Park lot, on the right. The trail marker is near the lot.
Box 1 - Autumn Leaves
From Berwyn Road/Indian Creek trail marker, head Southwest, past where future Hamm's and Beckett's play. Pass a rest stop. Up ahead, you'll be entering the woods on the left, provided you can spot the metal stake that signals your entrance into the woods. Head Southest through the ferns, to a pair of twins. One of the twins has fallen on hard times. The one still standing holds the treasure.
Box 2 - Horn of Plenty
Continue down the trail. Pass the 0.5 marker, pass another rest stop. At the third rest stop, take a minute to see if you see a troll - they live near here, you know. The Horn of Plenty is hiding in the rocks where the troll lives.
Box 3 - Laughing Witch
Continue on Indian Creek trail as the sirens serenade your crossing. At the crossroads, select the Northward road less traveled. Watch out for crossing box turtles. When you reach what surely must be the end, at points South, locate a 4 in 1 tree with an appendage listing to starboard. The witch is laughing within.
