***This trail is under heavy construction. One box might be missing, so we'll see if the boxes remain, when it's done.***

Greeley began as Union Colony. Easterners were encouraged to come out west and give it a go agriculturally.

These boxes are located at the Cache La Poudre River Trail beginning at the 71st Avenue Trailhead. This trail stroller and dog friendly. It is a little more than a half mile to reach both boxes.

Directions:
From Hwy. 34 take the 71st Avenue exit and follow it north to the Poudre River Trailhead parking lot.

Box #1 Clues:
Take the paved path. You will soon come to a 12.0 mile marker. Stay on the paved path and cross a bridge, then the path curves a little and there is a small bridge on the left leading to an area with 2 benches and a memorial stone. Cross the bridge, then go left to a cluster of trees. There are a couple of cement pieces in front of the trees. Go around to the back of the trees, and in the center of the cluster, under leaves, bark and a rock is the box.

Please look in all directions before retrieving and replace the rock, bark and leaves better than you found it to help camoflage it.

Box #2 Clues:
Continue on the paved path. You will come to a rail fence on the right. Be sure to heed the poison ivy warning. Stay on the paved path, following the fence. You'll come to a fork, but stay along the fence. You'll pass mile marker 11.5 and a little further, you'll come to the end of the fence. Count back 10 fence posts and the 10th one should be just to the right of a big tree and a bush next to the path, behind the fence. Again, looking around first, reach to the base of the tree, close to the bush for the box under a rock and bark and leaves.

Please re-hide well.
