Fall Foliage Series #7
The Paw Paw can be found 11 miles west of Wellsboro turn off of Rt. 6 onto Rt. 362 on the right you'll see Pine Creek Trail, and Darling Run signs for parking for the rail trail, biking path. Heading south on the bike trail pass a few horse signs and maybe a wagon ride too. Then you will see an Owasau (I think I spelled that right) sign trail on the right. Next is the fountain of youth on the left. Just pass the custer of large pines on the right by what looks like a nice pull off area, with grass and wild roses growing you will see a mighty oak with a split in its side, where fungi and you Paw Paw box reside. covered by a rock , please hide carefully , be carefull as this is a straight down bank to the creek. Not too dangerouse but no fence or rails either. .. First finders please report............. markers for stamping,,, new box what do ya think? enjoy.. let me know.
