***************NOTE: IT IS BELIEVED THAT THESE BOXES HAVE ALL GONE MISSING! I FOUND ONE OF THEM TORN OPEN, FULL OF WATER, AND CRITTER-CHEWED. HAHA! THEY MAY BE REPLACED AT ANOTHER TIME. THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST! ***************

Manlove Park is near Highway 1, north of Connersville, IN. From Connersville, take Highway 1, and about five miles north of Connersville, turn left off the highway onto Bentonville Rd. Go about four miles to Manlove Park Rd. and turn left. The park is just a bit down the road on the left hand side. Park facing the playground on the right side of the drive.

The first box to get to is "Warm Fuzzy," #9 in our kids' series. From the playground, go to the small picnic shelter near the woods. From the SE corner post of the shelter, take a compass reading of 220 degrees and walk in that direction to a trail head. Take this trail, and you'll cross a footbridge that is immediately followed by a little boardwalk. Keep going, and you'll cross another footbridge. At this point, you will be on a trail close to the pond. The first big tree on the left has thin, gangly branches all up it, most of them on the water side of the tree. From that tree, take a reading of about 175 degrees. Go to the big stump at the end of a fallen tree. That stump is where the first box is, around towards the right, inside/behind.

Get back on the trail and continue in the same direction you were going, around the pond. You'll pass an open grassy field on the right. Straight ahead, there is a small picnic area in a patch of pine trees. There's a parking lot close by there. Keep going around the pond, cross the bridge at the spillway, and walk all the way across this end of the pond. Curve left and continue around. Shortly after you curve left, there are long pine branches hanging over the trail, pointing towards the water. (There might be a trash barrel there too.) Go about 19 paces and look to your left for a beaver-felled tree. About 15 paces after that, there is an opening into the woods on your right. (Watch for briars.) Just into the woods, look off to your left and you'll see a giant tarantula of branches and tree roots. The next box, "Sneaky Mouse," #10 in our kids' series, is hidden behind the spider's legs, on the right side. And now this series is complete! Yay! But there's another box to find in this park. :)

Get back on the trail again and pass the island on your left. After you've passed it, there is a trail on your right. (If you get to the footbridge, you've gone too far.) Take the trail into a piney area. You'll see two trees on the left of the trail that are so close, you might step on their toes if you don't stay in the middle of the trail. After the second really close tree, take four paces to another close tree, this one on the right. With your back to this tree, take a reading of about 15 degrees. Go approximately seven paces to a large rock. The "Pine Tree" box is hidden toward the left side, between the rock and a small fallen tree.

Continue on the trail in the same direction to get back to the parking lot.

NOTE: These boxes were planted in the fall, and the growth might be considerably thicker with more brush and briars to maneuver through in the summer.

BE SAFE, AND HAPPY HUNTING!! :)
