Please Note: Specific permission for letterboxing has been neither requested of nor granted by the area administrators, so discretion is appreciated.

Unity Village, which abuts Lee's Summit at 350 Hwy (Blue Parkway) and Colbern (Bannister) Rd., was incorporated as a municipality in 1953 and maintains its own water system, security, and ZIP code. It is a peaceful, Mediterranean-style village that serves as the world headquarters for Unity, a not-for-profit spiritual and educational organization. Unity's beautiful grounds and gardens provide a sense of calm and tranquility.

Exit 350 Hwy at Colbern/Bannister Rd and go east past the Blue Parkway stoplight one block to the entrance into Unity Village from Colbern Rd. Follow the signs to the Bookstore and Visitor Center parking lot and park. Cross Unity Way (the road you came in on) and go down some steps to a parking lot where a large labyrinth is painted in white. Walk to the southeast corner of the labyrinth and look for a sign that says "Exercise Trail". Walk east up a gentle grassy slope toward a tree line. Stay to the right of a row of bushes as you near the tree line. Walk through a break in the tree line into a clearing, there may be a sign with an arrow pointing the way. Follow this arrow, veering left onto a path into the woods. Continue on this path until you get to a gravel road. Jog left on the gravel road about 15 steps then follow the arrow that points right into the woods. Continue on this path until you come to a "Y", there may be a sign pointing right, indicating the way to a natural bridge. Follow the path to the right, (the path turns to mostly gravel) to another sign that points left down a rocky path to the natural bridge. Take this path to the bridge and cross over a small (likely dry) creek to a bench. Sit on (or stand in front of) the bench and look back across the creek to the rock overhang before the entrance of the natural bridge. You will find the letterbox behind a stack of rocks at the base of a large vertical crack in the overhang.
