Founded in 1893, as a women’s college. In 1897, Margaret gave the college 28 acres of land, and so the school moved. It was renamed in her honor. Male students were admitted as commuters only in 1971. In 2002, it was decided that they could be residents as well. It still seems strange! What sets this school apart is its Honor Code.
