KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: SUBTERFUGE WILL BE NECESSARY!
This is the third time we've replaced this box - please help us keep it safe by using stealth. Best time to find it might be around dusk.
This letterbox is a microbox hidden in a tiny urban park surrounded by apartment buildings, traffic and an office building. Quorum Park features a relaxing atmosphere with a display fountain, small pyramid fountain, benches, and lighted walking path as well as pet waste dispensers, and on-street parking. The display fountain is beautifully lit at night. It is across the street from the striking pink Mary Kay Ash headquarters building.
DIRECTIONS: West of Quorum Drive between Westgrove Dr and Keller Springs Road.
“Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn't be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn't know it so it goes on flying anyway.” Mary Kay Ash
When you spot a pink Cadillac zipping along a Dallas street, you can bet your Radiant Rose crème lipstick that it’s being driven by a Mary Kay consultant! After a successful career in direct sales, a single mother named Mary Kay Ash retired in mid-1963, -- for a month! During that month, she decided to write a book to help women survive in the male-dominated business world. Sitting at her kitchen table, she made two lists: one contained the good things she had seen in companies for which she had worked; the other featured the things she thought could be improved. Reviewing the lists, she realized that she had inadvertently created a marketing plan for a successful company of her own. With her life savings of $5,000 and the help of her 20-year-old son, Richard Rogers, she launched Mary Kay Cosmetics on Friday, September 13, 1963.At her death in 2001 she was a multi-millionaire and the company was world-famous.

CLUES: Begin in the parking lot just north of the park. Walk under the trees towards toward the first set of large white stone pillars. Look to your left and regard the back of the Mary Kay building – what an incredible American success story from struggling single mom to millionaire businesswoman and benefactress! Make your way past the pillars towards the recessed fountain with dancing spray.
Walk left towards the Mary Kay building and find yourself on the sidewalk which runs along the east side of the park. Locate the fire hydrant nearby. Pretend you need to tie your shoe. Take one step into the trees ( there is a small cleared area for water mains)and reach out to your left at about five foot high. The mini camouflaged box hangs by a strap.
This is a very carefully tended park, so please re-hang the box very well to avoid detection by landscaping crews or lunchers!
