The 1.3 roundtrip hike to this letterbox is hot and dry, through amazing scenery . Don't forget sunscreen and water. There is also a hidden bonus in this park: http://lbna.dyndns.org/nm/osiris.htm
To the trailhead: from I-25 between Albuquerque and Santa Fe take either exit 265 or 259 to Cochiti Pueblo. From there, follow the signs to Kashua-Katuwe Tent Rocks N.M. Four and a half miles past the entry gate is a parking area for the trailhead.
To the letterbox:
To find this box, walk the loop
Pass lithic teepees in a group
Looking at a gaping maw
To your left a sandy draw
Across the draw, teepees three
At the base of one, remains of tree
Silver stump with a rock beside
El Ladron chose this place to hide
