************** BOX LOST **********
GONE March 2005
**********************************

This box is located in Mercer Arboretum & Botanic Gardens. It has over 250 acres of East Texas piney woods showcasing the region's largest collection of native and cultivated plants, along with this letterbox. Mercer is open seven days a week and is free. While here, be sure to also look for Silver Eagle’s "Mercer Monarch", MonkeyToes "Tibetan Tiger" and my "Geisha Doll" boxes

Directions:
Mercer is 22 miles north of downtown Houston near Bush Intercontinental Airport. From I45 or the Hardy Toll Road north, exit FM 1960 and turn east, then at Aldine Westfield Road, turn left (north). At the second traffic light (1.25 miles), turn left and park at the rear between the pavillion and the playground. This is not the entrance near the library!

To the box: Find trail map near pavillion, head towards the Hawthorn Loop. At loop split entrance, take the right-trail fork. Proceed until you see another trail map, and at that junction, take the Post Oak Loop to the right. You will come to a bridge. Do not cross the bridge. Go down the left side of the bridge. Look underneath the bridge and you see stones in the corner, box is in the space between the rocks and steel bridge support, about the location of the 5th plank.
