This box has been temporarily removed because it was sitting in a huge patch of poison ivy and the log book was soaked.
This is an updated version of the original "Don't Bug Me". I needed to make a few changes, but could not get the edit function to work. The letterbox is located in the Westville Lake Recreation Area which is in both Southbridge and Sturbridge Ma. If you have not already looked for the "Westville Dam Letterbox" and the "Grand Trunk Letterbox", then you might want to print those clues also. They all start from the same parking lot and they are all easy walks. The recreation area has facilities for picnicking, walking, fishing, playing ball, etc.
Westville lake Recreation area can be reached by following Rt. 131 east from its junction with Rt. 20 in Sturbridge. Follow 131 for about a mile and a half. Turn right on Wallace Rd. There is a sign for the recreation area at this corner. Follow Wallace Rd. for a short while to the entrance to the park. Park in the first parking area. From the bulletin board, the trail to the letterbox is almost due north. This trail is a dirt road all the way to the dam, approximately .5 miles. At the dam, cross the pedestrian bridge heading towards the building on the other side of the dam. At the building, take the trail to the right of the building. After a few steps, notice the "High Water Mark" sign. Next to it is a bluebird nesting box. Bluebirds are a wonderful creature to have in your neighborhood as they consume enormous amounts of bugs. Count this box as box number one on the right side of the trail. When you have walked to the thirteenth box (this box is about 20 paces before a trailside sign about "mowing area"), stop. Directly opposite on the left side of the trail about 20 feet away, notice a large rock next to a tree. The "Don't Bug Me" letterbox is behind the rock and tree under a few stones. After logging in, continue on the trail which will take you back to the parking lot. You will walk about 1.5 miles round trip, and may see ducks, geese, bluebirds, egrets, and many other creatures. I hope you enjoy the walk and try the other two letterboxes in this park.
