Landahl Park Reserve is popular with mountain bikers. The park includes many miles of trails designated for mountain biking, for people of all levels and skills. Other activities include horseback riding trails, 5 soccer fields, a softball field, picnic shelter, picnic tables, primitive groups camping, hiking and cross country skiing in the winter. Primitive restrooms are located within the park.

This is a mountainbike trail, so please be aware. The day this letterbox was placed, there were few bikers, but it was still early. Also, there was dying poison ivy, so it may be trickier in the springtime.

Directions to trail:

Take I-70 to the 7 Highway exit. Go north to Argo Road and turn east (right). At this turnoff, there will be a sign for the shooting range. Follow Argo Road along some winding roads. Turn left into the parking lot across the street from the shelter.

Directions to letterbox:

Follow the easy trail northwest across the field to the picnic table and trail map. Follow the trail left through the gap in the trees. Go along the edge of the field and back into the treed area. There will be a grassy path on the left, but don't follow it. Continue going straight. There will be a metal sign post, take the right fork into the woods. Hopefully there will still be a sign here that says "Dave's Maze". Follow this trail through the maze of trees. It will cross and recross a (dry?) creekbed, with a sign that says "Jordan's Jump" up on a tree. Follow the path down the hill and you will recross the creek. Take 30-35 steps (step=each footfall). There will be a hollow log on the right side parallel to the trail. There is an opening through the top. The letterbox is through this hole, under a white rock and some bark.

Please rehide it well so that no one can see it from the trail. Good luck!!
