Defiance College is located on 701 N. Clinton St. in Defiance OH. Its mission is to help its students to Know, to Lead, to Serve and to Understand. Defiance College was founded in 1850 and was originally a seminary school for women. In 1903 it became the Defiance College and has been ranked one of the best schools in the country for its Service Learning program.

You will take the one way street, E. Sessions, on the south side of the college. You will come to a stop sign in the middle of the block. Stop and turn left into the Serrick Center parking lot. From here you will look for a sign of World Peace. This is found in 8 different languages. From the peace pole, you will walk to the fountain. It is a great addition to the landscaping (if it is on). Look for the brick on the south side of the fountain with the inscription "Amy Rose Thanks Mom and Dad." From this brick, head due west through the trees or take the sidewalk to the class of 1926. From the class of 1926, walk due north on the sidewalk in front of Schauffler Hall to the far corner. You will look down to the right, behind the berry bushes for a large rock. Go into the bushes to the large rock and look down to your right again for a pile of rocks beneath the bushes. Here you will find what you seek.

Remember this is a college campus and it is very busy during the week and during the “feeding times” on the weekend. This box is also placed near a busy intersection. You must be discreet and try to blend in.
