Summer 2010-do not know the status of these boxes.

All boxes alive & well as of 3/28/2007. NOTE: When I redid box #2 today I saw another garter snake and a homeless person sleeping bag beyond this letterbox. So please be cautious when finding these boxes and best not to go alone!! Snakes out already??????

Placed by A-Bear in honor of the fun we hard core Idaho letterboxers had one evening seeking out boxes by MOONLIGHT...these boxes are stamps of some of the FUN we encountered along the way.

Directions:
Seek out your first clue at the DeMeyer Park (where I wanted to place the boxes, but couldn't find any good spots so decided to use the clue from here). From I84, take Exit 46 and go north on Eagle Road. Turn right on McMillan and then left at Cloverdale. Turn right on Hickory and at the "T" turn left and one of the park access trails is immediately on your right.

Clues:
In front of the bathrooms there is a plaque in front of the cool looking tree. Very carefully write down the plaque on paper exactly as you see it because this will get you to your next spot....

The next part is taken from some awesome letterboxers I've met over the years who make letterboxing really tricky or brain frying. =-)

With the above plaque in mind....these numbers below correspond to the line-word in that line-letter in that word. Decipher the directions below:

4-1-3 2-1-2 3-2-3 1-1-1 1-1-2/3-1-2 4-1-3/2-1-1 1-2-10 2-1-2 V 1-2-5

3-2-3 4-2-1 1-2-2 1-2-9 5-1-4. 3-1-7 5-2-2 F 3-2-1/ 3-1-2 4-1-3/2-1-

1 3-2-2 4-2-6 4-1-3 5-2-1 5-2-4 4-1-3. 4-2-3 3-2-4 4-1-5 4-2-5 5-1-

1/4-3-1 4-1-3/5-2-6 1-2-8 3-2-6 3-1-7 5-1-4. 2-2-1 3-1-8 2-2-3 3-3-

1/4-2-2 4-2-3/5-2-3 5-1-2 2-1-1 3-3-3.

BOX #1: "2-3-1 2-1-2 2-1-2 4-2-3 1-2-10 4-2-6 4-1-1 5-1-1 1-1-1/3-1-3 2-1-1 2-1-4 1-2-2 1-1-1 2-1-1 5-1-1 3-1-5 4-1-3"

North down the concrete and then rock path toward the river. On the right is the start of the bridge with a boulder about 3 steps west.

Box #2 (redone 3/28/2007): "5-2-3 3-2-4 3-1-2 4-1-3 1-2-9 1-1-3 3-2-6 3-2-7 3-3-1/ 2-3-1 1-2-5 2-1-2 2-2-1 1-1-3 4-1-3"

Return toward the concrete path, but just before turn right on the trail. There are eventually some SMALL boulders on the right in front of a thin tree hiding something at its base. I saw some cages with fresh cans of tuna inside possible awaiting our visit. The box is to the right of this tree under the small boulders and other river rocks.

Box #3: "5-2-3 2-1-2 4-1-6 4-2-8 3-1-7 1-1-3 4-1-1 1-1-2 3-2-1/3-2-7 2-1-2 3-1-1 3-1-1 4-2-6 4-1-3"

Ten paces back on the right of the trail find me in the smaller of the two multitrunked trees. We like to hop around in the creek.

***I saw a small garter snake slowly slithering nearby on the trail...so be careful of critters and poison oak in the area.***

Have fun and let us know how your adventure turns out.
