Terrain Difficulty: Easy
Number of Boxes: 1
Special Notes: This box is stroller and wheelchair accessible. Although the path does become dirt and gravel at one point you do not have to go too far once off the pavement to reach the box.

This box is placed for all those “Extreme Letterboxer’s” out there who brave all the elements to find their treasure.

Outfind – Outplant – Outlast!

Solve the clues below and find the words in the word search to find the starting point for your hunt:

1. An establishment for the lodging and entertaining of travelers.
2. A term loosely used by sailors in place of the word cocktail.
3. Conrad Nicholson – American heir of a hotel chain.
4. Golf score of two strokes less than par on a hole.
5. A business establishment where meals or refreshments may be purchased.
6. A natural stream of water of usually considerable volume.
7. The right or left part of the wall or trunk of the body.
8. To carry on or through energetically.
9. A plot of ground where herbs, fruits, flowers, or vegetables are cultivated.
10. A belt of parkways, parks, or farmlands that encircles a community.

Once you have located the two businesses that are your starting point and the town they are located in park between them and head to the path that you also located in the word search above.

Heading to the east or your left follow the path until you see a sign on your right (south side) that is a “City of” sign with a map. From that point count to 250 steps or 125 paces. You will leave the paved path and be on a gravel path very quickly once you start counting steps or paces.

When you reach the count you should see a very large tree with multiple trunks to your right. Stand by the fence that is on your left and count 14 steps towards the water and tree or 7 paces and you will find yourself almost standing directly on top of the box. It is nestled below your feet among the rocks. You should be half way to the tree and half way to the gravel path. Some of the rocks wobble a bit so watch your footing! Please cover and hide well before leaving.

Should you note the box missing or it’s contents in bad repair please contact me at Blackvelvetrav@yahoo.com. Happy hunting!
