From 495 take route 105 south for about 6.1 miles through Lakeville
Take left onto Long Point Road follow for 1.6 miles to Stuart Morgan Conservation Area on the left.
Park in lot and take trail into the woods.
Follow unmarked trail (can be hard to see with all the dead leaves) down and then up a ravine. Trail curves to the right when going up the ravine.
Take right (SE) downhill at T intersection
Take left on trail heading north.
***As of early June there are some trees down blocking this path but it is still passable with a bit of clambering. ***
Go approx 108 paces to a 2 foot boulder on right side of trail.
When standing in front of correct boulder a spiralling trunked tree can be sighted across the stream at 40 degrees
Blue Heron is behind boulder and under some leaves.
Please cover well with leaves and make sure box can't be seen as it is very close to the trail.
Continue on trail for a nice view of the lake and/or retraced steps to your car.
