Basil Stag Hare, at your service! Seek me out and I'll get you started on your journey through Mossflower Woods. See you soon, what?

You’ll need to get yourself into the general vicinity of Redwall Abbey. (See the clue entitled "The Redwall Series"). You can figure that bit out, what? Jolly good! As you reach the edge of the Woods, strike out uphill. Ignore all the barriers and forge ahead until you see a trail slip away off on your right. You might jolly well miss it if you aren’t alert, so keep a sharp eye! You’ll want the moderate climb, so take the first turn to the left and on in up through the trees.

When your trail winds 'round to 20 degrees,
Seek out a strapping pair of trees--
Guarding the path, they stand astride.
I'll await your arrival on the port side, what?

Additional Information:
-Bathrooms and Information Center at the trail head.
-Basil's trail is not stroller friendly or handicapped accessible.
-No pets on this particular stretch of trail.
-Basil Stag Hare's box is the first letterbox on a trail about a mile in length. The trail is not a loop, though, so you've got to walk another mile back to your car, either retracing your steps or taking the paved road to the left when you exit the trail.
-These trails are very popular, especially on the weekends, so discretion can be a challenge.
-This is a small letterbox, so you'll need to bring your own pen and ink pad.

Watch for more Redwall boxes in this same area!
