Sister Grove Park is a 75 acre hike/bike trail located between Princeton and Farmersville. There are two trails, each about 3 miles long, which form a figure 8. The park is for daytime use only. Restroom and covered pavillions with grills are available for use. For the really intrepid boxers, a trail bike ride or hike could make this a full (and exhausting) day. For pictures and a map, www.dorba.org/images/trails/maps/sg_map.jpg is a good site.

Directions to the park:
Take Highway 380 east from McKinney to Lake Lavon. As you cross the bridge, you will see another smaller bridge connecting the highway to an "island", where Sister Grove Park is located. Follow the brown signs to the park.

Clues to the box:

Park along the pipe rail fence. It is a good idea to look at the map before venturing out along the trail. Trail signposts are obvious and fairly frequent. They are, however, NOT numbered. Look on the map for Signpost #5. It is at the beginning of the wooded area, just past the clearing on the left. Take the trail into the wooded area about 100 paces. There will be lots of twists and turns and plenty of beautiful vegetation. As the vegetation thins out, you will notice some tall, thin trees. A paved road will appear in the distance to the left. Just ahead, you will see 3 distinct "Medusa" trees, two to the right and one on the left. Go off trail behind the one on the left. Look at the base of the tree, where the trunk seems to split. The box will be here.
