The DB 2004 letterbox was placed while I attended my MIND-NUMBING meeting at Hueston Woods State Park. For more info about directions and a map of the park go to www.huestonwoodsresort.com/

This leterbox is located onthe Indian Mound Trail which originates inthe electric campground area at the end of row A/B. If there is a tepee and a yurt you are in the right area. It will be more difficult to access during the warmer months as this area is limited to campers and you may have to hike into the campground. This trail, however, contains some of the best terrain in the park.

Follow the blue diamond trail marked trees that begin at orienteering post #1. At the first fork go straight down the hill, thru the tallgrass meadow. At the trail crossing go left to find the letterbox. ( I highly reccommend that you also investigate the path that goes straight. When you arrive at the river go left and follow this trail to the falls which also seems to be a popular swimming hole. When I was there in 12/04 this area was the home of "Riverhenge" - an amazing rock structure built in the river by the dayhikers that resembles a small stonehenge. I doubt it will survive the winter freeze/thaw so you might want to check it out soon). When you come to the Pine Woods on you left, find the AK orienteering pole to your right. Standing at the pole look 130'. About 15-20 paces from the pole lies a twisted stump. The DB 2004 LB is inthe stump behind some bark. Please do not push it too far back when rehiding.

Let me know if you find it.
