Throughout the history of Streator, the Plumb family played an important role. Streator use to be home to the Plumb Hotel, Plumb School, and Plumb Theater. Now, the city has erected a monument in the city park to honor Colonel Ralph Plumb. The Colonel donated the land for the park.
Although there are no clues pertaining to the monument, I highly suggest checking it out. Following your visit to the park, your are ready to begin your letterboxing adventure in Riverview Cemetery:
Find the soldier who stand guard.
His stare will show you to the Plumbs
South of Ralph's resting place, but along the northern edge with those who have fallen.
