This box was originally placed by David C., adopted by Princess Lea in August 2004, then adopted by Crab Apple in 2008.

10/13/2009 NOTE: The location of this box is not really suitable for children. Please make sure an adult retrieves the box - it is near a river and ruins of an old mill. I plan to move the box to a more child friendly location (and out of the ruins) the next time I am in Vermont. I went to check on the box yesterday on my way home from VT and the area was being maintained with tons of workers about. I will not get to it again until next Spring. If you find it before winter, please let me know how the box is holding up. If you find a more suitable location for the box - let me know and I'll update the clues. Thanks!

Clues: Easy From the Danville Green, take Brainerd Street close to a mile to where the pavement curves to the left, and the dirt Greenbank Hollow Road continues straight. Take Greenbank Hollow road approximately 2 miles to the Greenbank Hollow Bridge. Though dirt, the road is well maintained. There is parking on the right, just before the bridge. Across the street from where you parked, stand in front of the marker with the name of the bridge on it. To the left of the marker, there is a path through the grass that leads down the hill. Follow the path down towards the river (not very far) and find the stone walls of a mill/factory that once stood at this site. Facing the river down below, one of the first walls you come to juts into midair, high above the river (please do not walk out onto this wall -- it's a long way down if you fall). Stand with this wall in front of you, facing the river, with the bridge a short way up the hill to your right. About five feet down to your left, you can stand next to this wall. Scramble down there and turn so you are facing the bridge, up the hill. The letterbox is right in front of you, hidden by some loose stones in the wall. NOTES - Please bring your own pen and ink pad. - This letterbox is inaccessible with snow cover. - Please return the box and stones as you found them, making sure the box is not visible to anyone standing above the wall. - Make sure to check out the nearby letterboxes Cemetery Walk and Working on the Railroad.
