BOX 1 AND 3 ARE MISSING, I WILL TRY TO REPLACE BUT WILL PROBABLY MOVE IF I DO. BOX #2 IS EASY TO FIND AND KIND FUN!
One of my favorite movies, American Graffiti, just happens to have been filmed mostly in Petaluma, the town I’ve lived in for the last 8 years. The film was originally to be shot in San Rafael, but that town pulled out of their contract after one day of (very little) shooting. Fortunately Petaluma welcomed George Lucas and crew with open arms.
American Graffiti combines great classic Rock and Roll, cool cars and a great cast of relative unknowns(at the time), to make one of the classic films about growing up. In fact it is listed in the top 100 movies of all time. This set of three boxes will bring you to places you can see in the movie, so put the first reel on the projector, sit back, and take notes. Most of the answers can be found in the movie, others might take a little Googling. I'd love to hear from you after you've found them!

Reach down into the bush, where all the limbs meet, it’s in there, hidden well under leaves.
Go read the plaque and learn about the Sgt.
Box#2:
Go to the intersection of Kentucky and 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34. (This is where Curt stood after chasing the white T-Bird)
Go the 35, 36, 37, 38, 39 way.
By the wall next to the 40, 41, 42, 43, 44 Shop and the parking lot.
Reach through the bar and look in the 45, 46, 47
(If you look east there is a dirt lot between two buildings, and a big brick wall with 7 or 8 openings-through there is where they filmed the scene where Curt hooked the cable to the rear axle of the police car.) “Stand By for Justice!”
Box #3
Go to 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53 Road (Rev up the hot rod you’re gonna need your car, it’s on the south-east end of town)
This is the road where the final drag race between John Milner and Bob Falfa was filmed. The golf course and the apartments weren’t there but if you close your eyes you can picture a car rolling over…just don’t close ‘em too long , we don’t want it to be your car.
Turn left on 54, 55, 56, 57, 58 Road.
Your first right is a small 59, 60, 61, 62, 63 Park. (the hours are 10 a.m - 5 p.m.)
Follow the 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69
Before the U-turn into the parking area, notice a clump of
70, 71, 72, 73 trees with many bushes surrounding them.
With your back to the parking/picnic area, walk around the clump of
trees/bushes to the 74, 75, 76, 77, 78.
You will see an opening on the southern end. Go to the closest
79, 80, 81, 82. There are two stumps that have been cut from a tree
the one furthest from the 79, 80, 81, 82 (about 2-3 paces) is where you will find #3.
