Another in my college/university series and also a first for the county! You may wish to mapquest to get directions to Franklin College. I hadn't been there in over 15 years and they've done some nice expansion...beautiful little private college with about 1200 students. I got there by travelling south on 65 to Franklin exit and following signs for 44 W. This became Forsythe and then Jefferson I believe. About 3 or 4 blocks on Jefferson and you will see a sign to the left for Branigin which is a main drag into the campus. Down a bit and on the right will be a visitors parking lot, across from the Johnson Center of Fine Arts. Park here. Take note of the three buildings on the east side of the road. The main building with it's unique tower was the inspiration for this stamp. This should only take about 10 minutes total time from the parking lot.

Clues

From the parking lot head west and over the railroad tracks and up a slight hill. You should be able to see 5 white columns in an arc. Go to that and take the trail to the south of the brick cirlce about 15 paces. 3 paces to your left and you should see a cement block with its south corner missing (unless there is more than 6 inches of snow on the ground, and then this block may not be visible. 3 more paces east and you should see several trees. Look for the one with 3 trunks, all rather small to medium in size and leaning towards the north a bit. In its base, covered with leaves and sticks should be this microbox (camo taped baby jar). I was aware of several video surveillance cameras, but none seemed to be pointed directly here. It also looked like a police station was just up a bit to the south so don't look too suspicious...LOL. Hand carved stamp, but bring your own ink. Please contact me and let me know how it's doing. I'll be eager to see who braves this cold weather...I think not likely for Big Feet or Fever Fan to be first finders on this one, Speedsquare, do you have it in you? Or the new group from the southside, four something? If so, don't forget to look for Grizzlies while you're there. Ooops, congratulations to Big Feet Bechtel and Fever Fan, indeed the first finders!
