Everyone knows that ST. Paul is the capital of Minnesota and that is where they have control of the States parks. Battle Lake is about 195 miles north and west of this point in west central Minnesota just 22 miles north of interstate 94 at the Ashby exit.
North and east of Battle Lake is Glendalough State Park in the park is where this letterbox is placed.
If you drive into the park there is a park $7.00 for 2 days or you can get an annual pass for all the parks in the state and this surrounding area. The trails are free to walk ski or ride bike on and accessible starting at the gate. If you drive in the main road will take you to a parking lot just across the bridge next to the lodge. From this point you can also access the trails.
If you ride, walk or ride in you will take the Molly Stark Lake trail to Annie battle lake trail. Don’t cross the first bridge just stay on the west side of the lake. This will bring you to the bridge and the parking lot by the lodge.
From here you can take either the ice ridge trial or the lake Emma trail. At the point of where the Northern part of the lake Emma Trail Ts to the south there is a resting bench between the Ice Ridge trail and the Lake Emma Trail. Just to the East of the Bench is a Bridge in the Ice Ridge trail. The letterbox is under this bridge tucked up in the south west corner of the bridge mounts.
