Once at the Mt. Pisgah State Park, go to the parking area right next to Stephen Foster Lake. Park in that parking lot. Cross the road and head up the road towards the ranger's station until you see the wooden fence. Turn left onto the Mill Stream Trail right before the wooden fence. Pond will be on the right and a big trail sign with maps of trail on the left. The entire trail is 1.1 mile and there are numbered markers along the way. At about 1/4 a mile at marker #5 you will find your hidden treasure. You will pass a bench to sit on right before marker #5. It is a perfect place to watch birds around the pond. Continue on the trail just alittle bit past marker #5 until you see a fallen log on the edge of the left side of the trail. Behind the fallen log the letterbox can be found. It will be covered by bark and other natural material. Please hide it in the same location and in the same manner and enjoy the sounds and sights of the various birds located here. If you continue on this trail it will lead you back to the entrance sign.
