In Edinburg, on Raul Longoria Street, next to SuperSplash there is the Edinburg Municipal Park. This is also home to the Scenic Wetlands Birding Center. You'll be amazed at the number of birds you'll see in the middle of the city. If you walk through the buildind and out the back door, on the glass walled side, there is an observation deck. That is not the one. Walk west on the path boardered by handrails. Don't follow the split rail fence. Watch out for our bunny rabbit here. Continue until you see the green electical box on the left side of the trail. This look out point is the right one. The box...err..bag... is under the floor by the third post that supports the ramp on the right hand side, but not under the bench. It should be covered by rocks. Enjoy, but poke the area first in case any creatures live there.
P.S. You do not have to pay the entry fee to walk the trails here. Try it, I could not believe the nice trails here.
