The Getty Center (GC) is a place to experience and enjoy art in a unique setting that features dramatic architecture, well maintained gardens and breathtaking views. Its culturual programs change frequently. For more info log on to www.getty.edu.

To get to the letterbox, go to the staircase at the West (tram) side of the Harold M. Williams Auditorium. On the eleventh step from the bottom you should find the box pegged with magnetic force to the outside of the Western staircase frame. A security guard may appear around any corner of the building at anytime (only our international airports are guarded with more vigor than the Getty Center), and if they find you sitting on the stairs to stamp in - which is tempting- you might be approached with an order not to sit there. There are only a few places where you are not video recorded and potentially watched remotely. So be really fast in retrieving and repositioning the box and move on.
When repositioning the box, please make sure to place it halfway down the beam, i.e. away from the top edge of the beam, into a position in which the box cannot be seen from a bottom or top passer-by.

Transportation hints: There is no admission fee to the GC, but parking for cars and motor cycles at the the center is $15.
You can save this fee by:
- Coming by bus lines 761 or 233, which stop right at the Getty Center entrance.
- Parking on Bellagio Rd (off Moraga Dr. north) and parts of Sepulveda Rd (allowed for max 2 hrs, i.e. just enough time to get to the box and return plus about half an hour of sightseeing)
- Parking on Moraga Dr. (off Sepulveda Blvd, allowed for max 4 hours)
- Parking on Acanto St and Bellagio (off Moraga south) without time limit.
From Moraga Dr to the GC entrance is .9 miles.
