Stamp replaced with a new and better version.

Near the Heights is a neighborhood park, Timbergrove Manor Park, located on the banks of White Oak Bayou on West TC Jester between 11th and 18th streets. This is the park where my boys would build “rabbit houses” with their grandfather and leave carrots to entice the bunnies. Since we never really saw a rabbit, we thought we’d leave one in a box for others to find.

Directions:
To get to this park, take the TC Jester exit from I-10 and head north. Stay to the left when the two Jesters veer apart and park in the neighborhood across the street from the park on Wynnwood (the fifth street to your left north of 11th).

Clues:
To solve this box, you’ll need to solve a math puzzle. Fibonacci Numbers are a sequence of numbers that amazingly appear quite often in nature. They are also a great way to solve the classic math problem of how many rabbits you have when one breeding pairs starts multiplying (why Fibonacci Numbers are related to this clue box). To find this box, you’ll need to know the 11th number in the Fibonacci sequence (the first two numbers are the same).

To Find the Box:
Cross West TC Jester and start at the lightpole closest to Wynnwood. From there, take 60 steps towards the bayou and a black sign entitled “Wildflowers.” From this sign, turn right and head along the bayou for the number of steps of the 11th Fibonacci number (you will be following an asphalt trail). After taking these steps, just ahead on your right should be a medium size tree (with green bark on the side facing you) with two smaller trees right next to it on the right side. On the left side of the larger tree is a multi-trunked tree. The box is in the base of the multi-trunked tree, hidden under bark, pine needles and leaves. After we hid the box, Gramapillar got concerned that the rabbits might get hungry, so look in the same spot for a bonus microbox with rabbit food. Please be discreet and take care to rehide both boxes well.

Send us an email at gramatrick@gmail.com to let us know the status of this box. Thanks for finding our first box!
