The parking lot for Difficult Run Park is 3.6 miles west of the Georgetown Pike (Route 193) & the I-495 interchange. The lot is on the left as you drive west on Georgetown Pike.
Start on the path at the end of the lot and head downstream. After passing under the bridge, take the left fork up a short hill to join the main trail. Continue walking with the river to your right until you see a rock quarry of sorts on your left, just beyond two trash cans.
Walk into this alcove and climb on top of the large moss-covered log in the center. Head at a bearing of 60 degrees. Your job is to discover under which rock the Difficult Rock Troll is DIGGING.
