TEMPORARILY REMOVED DUE TO WATER DAMAGE ON 08/10/08-silly bee
This is a fast find on a trail that is not strenuous. The letterbox is found within .5 mile, though you may extend the walk for 4 or 7 miles, or extend the anticipation by starting at the end and working backward. Additionally, another letterboxer has placed four more boxes on this same tail, so you can do five in one!
Take Cedarville Road North off of route 301.
Take a right onto Forest Rd. (you will have to stop and pay the $3.00 park entrance fee)
Proceed .2 miles to the charcoal kiln parking lot.
Once parked, proceed onto the trail.
At the first trail intersection, take a left onto the blue blaze trail.
Bear left to stay on blue when intersecting orange blaze trail, right onto blue when cutting through orange again.
Take a left after crossing the orange bridge.
Proceed along the blue trail.
25 paces seperate two bridges.
1/2 way between these bridges is a bed of rocks.
standing on the bed of rocks, do an about face.
take five paces back toward the first bridge.
look up and to your right to find the hollow tree, now partially downed.
Make sure to complete the trail. It is beautiful with numerous foot bridges and usually there are few if any other people out there.
