REPAIRED, REBAGGED AND GENERALLY SHOWN SOME LOVE WINTER 2007
Laughter is the Best Medicine

(this is box one in the Michigan Transplant series)

Olive Branch City Park is somewhere off Goodman Road just past 302. That's about as specific as I can give you, seeing as how I get lost in my own sub. The funny thing is, 302 IS Goodman Road, so it seems like the park is at Goodman Road and Goodman Road, which is just plain stupid to me, but what do I know? I just moved here.

If you can lure your child past the playground,
find Lush-Pun-Tubby Nature trail
(no, I'm not kidding about that name)
and hope you've got mad skills in dendrology.
Find the White Oak
then the Red Mulberry
Don't forget the Eastern Red Cedar
or the Cherrybark Oak.
Next, Lotus' favorite, the Sweetgum Tree
and then the Shagbark Hickory.
Just past the bridge is the Black Cherry
Stand right next to it.
From that point, take 19 paces at 200 degrees.
Sight the tree between two trees dead west.
You'll reach it in about 25 paces.
Keep your sense of humor, what you're looking for is 'round back of the tree. Dig down deep. The leaf litter is thick.

The part where I go blah blah blah:
The park is open from 6am-11pm, there is no entrance fee.
The nature trail is VERY VERY heavily populated, please use *extreme* discretion when locating, stamping in, and replacing the box. Please rehide better than you found it.
I planted this box in the winter, so I don't know what the vegetation will look like during the growing season. Please be careful to not form a social trail to this box.
And watch out for snakes, I guess.
