These two boxes are planted in a small, newly-open-to-the-public park. It is so NOT busy so it should not be a problem to be discreet. However, when I planted these boxes, I did see three vehicles driving in or out of the park. There is a "no trespassing" sign there but you can ignore it. I promise!, this is a new public city park (so I've been told). I guess the park people just neglected to take down the sign. It is being worked, getting ready for more public use, so it's not a full-on up and running place and doesn't have playground equipment or restrooms, that sort of thing. There are picnic tables, trash barrels, and a pond. When I planted the boxes, the tables and barrels were under water from the recent flooding in this area. So the boxes are up away from the water.

Take highway 1 south to Connersville. At the 30th St. light, go straight through onto Western Ave. When you get to the 3rd St. light, go straight through again. Drive a couple blocks and turn left onto 1st St. Then a block after that, turn right onto Eastern Ave. You'll then drive past junk yards and scrap metal yards. When you get to the Whitewater Valley Railroad building, the road curves to the right. Don't take that curve; instead, go left through a gate (where the no trespassing sign is) and onto a gravel drive.

Park in the second pull-off you come to. Starting with your back to the utility pole there by that pull-off, take a reading of 230 degrees. Go 9 paces to the edge of an area of wild growth. About two paces into that growth, there is an old cement/rock chunk in the ground just to the left of a tree. Stand on top of that chunk and reach underneath the edge closest to the aforementioned utility pole. That's where you'll find "Rising Sun." Please make sure you hide it well with leaves and such when you're done.

Next, from the same gravel area where the first box is, face the pond. There are two branches to the driveway: one left, one right. Take the one to the left. Walk down towards the pond, on around, on around a little more, til you come to a sort of washed-out drive. There was a utility pole lying across that drive when I planted these. Go across the pole and up on the little hill to where there is a small, cleared "bulge" to the left side of the drive. Sorta like a scooter-sized parking spot. Go to the inside of that spot, to the top center of it, close to the tree/weed line. Look diagonally right and find five lengths of utility pole there in the growth. "Sunny Day" is hiding inside the length of pole that is closest to you. When you finish with this one, please be sure it's well up into the pole and hidden by leaves, sticks, whatever.

Since this park, I've heard, is going to be cleaned up and worked on in the near future, I'll come back and check on these boxes now and then to be sure they're intact, and will post any changes to the area that may be necessary to keep the clues accurate.

THESE BOXES WERE PLANTED IN THE DEAD OF WINTER. IF YOU HUNT FOR THEM IN THE SPRING OR SUMMER, BE CAREFUL OF POISON IVY, BRIARS, AND THE LIKE.

Thanks for coming!
