Winter - MISSING
The first of the "season series".

San Gabriel Park
We decided to focus this series at the San Gabriel Park because it is such a beautiful location with so much to offer. As I write these clues the trail is being extended with its final destination linking up to Lake Georgetown. Enjoy the "seasons" as you walk the trail.

CLUES:
From Austin, take IH 35 going north and take Lake Georgetown/Andice exit. Head east(right) on Williams Drive, stay in the middle lane and take a left (north) onto Austin Avenue. Take your first right (east) on Stadium Drive. Turn left (north) at the stop sign on Morrow Street.

Now you have entered San Gabriel Park. Follow Morrow street along San Gabriel Park(stay to the right) until you come to a small bridge that crosses the river on the far end of the park you will turn right across the bridge this is College Street. Follow this back along the river going the other direction. You will see McMasters Athletic Complex on your left, pull into the parking lot and park facing College St. Take the path/sidewalk(to your left if facing College Street) on the west perimeter of the fields. Follow this about .4 of a mile. Once on this path you will cross College Street, pass a walkway down to the river, walk over a "tiny" bridge with a green hand rail (if you are on the larger foot bridge which is starting around the bend you have gone too far), and finally come to a "rock" monument in Honor of Winfred H. Bonner. Now you are getting close. When standing directly facing the rock monument and the bench monument turn 90 degrees to your right and take 20 paces towards a tree that has 3 trunks. At the base of the trunk farthest from the road you will find a pile of rocks. Be careful and use a stick first... Lift the rocks up and you've found our Winter Letterbox! Congratulations. Please be careful to be secretive and replace everything as you've found it for the next person. Feel free to email if you have any difficulty!
