Lancaster Junction Recreation Trail
****UPDATE CLUES 12/29/2007***********
This trail has well-graded, level surfaces, making it ideal for hiking, jogging, bicycling, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing.
For more information on the Park visit their website:
http://www.co.lancaster.pa.us/parks/site/default.asp
Look under Trails
From 283 take the Salunga exit and follow the signs to the Park and Ride. Park near the restrooms (very clean) and look for the trail.
This is an easy walk and easy box to find. It was great to get out and “blow off the stink” on a sunny, but brisk day. If you complete the entire trip up and back it’s about 5 miles, so good exercise too!
Enjoy the scenery as you begin your search. You are welcome to bring your furry friends. Remember to carry in-carry out!
There is a depression on the right side of trail before the Cement Bridge with the iron rails. 150* there are 2 trees with large roots. The box is under a rock. BEWARE of pricker bushes!!!! Use gloves if necessary. Be aware of other hikers, this is popular walking trail. Also be careful at the Road X-ings.
Read the disclaimer stuff.
Enjoy the walk. Let us know how the box is doing and any other comments at sjj61@mindspring.com
