This box has been replanted as of 10/12/2006!

There are four microboxes in this series. I have given driving directions to each box in the order of Tenor Sax, Drumset, Bass Guitar, and Piano.

Difficulty: easy
Distance to box: 1/4 mile.

This box is located in Deaver Park on Kelly-Elliot Road south of Interstate 20.

I had cleared my aching head of memories of things past brought on by Lester's wailin' tenor. Now the staccato drumbeats of worry began to seep in. How could I live my life without the love I had left behind? My thoughts raced as I tapped a rhythm out-taka-taka-tak. Wooden sticks skipping over taut skins-the tom-tom a fury of rage-the basso profundo a massive clock measuring life-events with a terrible precision. The high hat and ride cymbal were shimmering cascades of sixteenth notes flowing across the floor to drown me. The rhythms began to seep into my heartbeats and synch up...........

Find the soccer fields. Go to the westernmost bleachers. From the back center of the bleachers go 10 steps into the woods on the tiny, faint path. Watch out for thorns-they are abundant! Find the multi-trunked tree and look at its base on the west side under the rock. Have fun! Please throw some leaves around the rock to rehide. Thanks!

To get to the Bass Guitar letterbox turn left out of the park and look for Bardin Road and turn left. You should see Cliff Nelson Recreation Center on your left.
