THIS BOX HAS GONE MISSING!!!!!
This box was placed by Lil Bear at Stafford Lake.
There are restrooms, picnic tables, playground and a water fountain.
It is only a short, several minute walk to find it (or almost a drive by if you park in the parking lot).
This box is on the way to the "Say Cheese" box.
To get there:
From Hwy 101, take the San Marin/Atherton exit and go West onto San Marin Dr. Follow it to Novato Blvd. and make a right turn. Once you see Stafford Lake on your left side you should look out for the first small turnout on your right and park there. This is what we do. However, there is a fee ($5) parking lot just ahead on the left side which is even closer to the box.
If you parked in the turnout you will need to cross the street and get onto to the path that leads to Stafford Park. Walk in the same direction as you were driving. Follow the advice... watch your step.
There is a fee box on this short walk ($2) before you get to the park. We are not sure if this is for bikers, hikers...??? We were only there for a moment so we ignored it.
Walk until you see the playground. Sit on the large covered bench and look at the playground. The box is now under you, buried under the bark, near the left post of the bench. You can pretend you dropped something?
Please make sure it is fully covered when you leave.
