Terrain: Sandy beach and path, stone walkway

Huatulco is on the Pacific coast of Mexico, in the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico. It is the largest ecological reserve designated by the Mexican government, making it a truly a unique tourist destination since it combines a very modern resort infrastructure within a large undeveloped natural area. It consists of over 20 miles of coastline, including 9 bays and 36 beaches, only a few of which are developed.

To search for this box, you need to get to Tangolunda Bay, which is one of the principal bays and home to five-star resort hotels and shopping areas. Go to the beach in front of the resorts, across from the rocky islands just offshore. Head west along the beach until you reach a channel. Head up to the walkway at the mouth of the channel and count the number of concrete benches on both the upper and lower levels ____. When you get to the end, count the number of sections in the concrete circle around the tall post ____.

Now go back to the beach and head north on the path alongside the channel. You’ll see some archways on your right and eventually will see a large boulder with a log in front of it. From this point, take the same number of paces along the path as the bench count, then turn right and take the same number of paces as the circle section count.

You’ll find the box hidden under a boulder. Please check all directions, including across the channel, to be sure no one is watching you as you retrieve and rehide the box. Please rehide it carefully so it isn’t visible from any direction.

Since I don’t live anywhere near this vacation paradise, I’d really appreciate a status update on this box if you do look for it - Thanks!
