The Magic School Bus Books are well worn and often checked out from the Meadows Elementary library. We love our teachers but think it would be great to have Ms. Frizzle as a substitute one day. We can’t go on the field trips that she takes her class on but we can sit in the comfortable couches and chairs in our classrooms and imagine what the adventures would be like.
To solve this box, you’ll need to find the name of the school where Ms. Frizzle teaches.
Once you’ve done so, convert the letters to numbers, using the code A=1, B=2, etc to Z=26. Then, add the numbers together to get your total (just the name of the school, don’t include elementary school in your calculation). This will be your number of steps.
Meadows Elementary is located in the heart of Meadows Place. Meadows Place is a small community just off the Southwest Freeway and West Airport. From the Southwest Freeway exit West Airport, go west. Then N>Kirkwood, W>Dorrance, S>Pender. You will travel through several stop signs (something that the community is known for) and be sure to come to a complete stop before proceeding.
The elementary school will be on your right, park in the school parking lot.
For best results find this LB after school hours. FYI: School lets out at 3:00 pm normally.
At the Principal’s parking spot start counting your steps walking south. When you are finished counting you should be under the shelter/awning by the cafeteria. A Word from the Wise - the lights under the awning are on a timer, don't be frightened if they come on while you searching. Turn left facing the doors. In the flower bed on your right is an angel. Just right of the angel there is a sharp point where the cement, flower bed and school meet. Under the leaves and mulch is the Magic School Bus Letterbox. FYI: T
