New box needed

This box is for weary travelers who need to stop and stretch their legs. It is located just off I-10 about 7 miles east of Quartzsite. From I-10 take exit 26 and drive southeast on Gold Nugget Road for about 0.3 mile to a small brown BLM information kiosk on the right side of the road. Park there.

From the south post of the kiosk walk at about 140 degrees (from mag. north) to what appears to be a cluster of tall Saguaro Cactus. As you approach them you will see there are actually two together in front and then a little farther to the south a single one with a dead Saguaro on the ground next to it. From the west side of that single Saguaro (with the dead one next to it), go at about 214 degrees (from mag. north) for about 100 steps to a Saguaro (now a skeleton) with 2 to 3 short arms on its left side. It is just on the other side of a small wash. The “nugget” is hidden on the south side of this Saguaro under rocks and plant debris. Be alert for snakes and scorpions and other desert critters.

Please be sure the contents are double ziplocked when you put them back in the box (i.e. the stamp is in a ziploc, the book is in a ziploc, and the two are in the larger ziploc bag). Please rehide the box well under the rocks and covered with some twigs and plant debris so that it can not be seen from any direction.

I will not be able to check on this box very often; so, please let me know if you find it, or if it is missing or needs attention:
