To get there:
Take Highland Ave. west from Redmond. Just after crossing the Deschutes River follow the signs to Eagle Crest Resort. Drive into the East (left) entrance. Drive through the 4-way stop. Turn left at the next road and park behind the Equestrian center.
Clue:
From the North trail head, make your way down to the river.
Follow the path past the green boxes and continue along the river.
Take the game trail up to the right.
When the path forks, go down 10 steps.
Look under the left edge of the large boulder that is being held up by the small tree.
Warning! Look out for snakes before reaching into the rocks.
