*Westminster Abbey is located East of Mission City. Drive 2.5 kilometers down Highway #7 to Manson St on the left, then follow it upto a stop sign at a T. Go right, Manson St. will turn into Dewdney Trunk Rd. Go up hill, winding left, When you even out, watch your left for the turn up to the Abbey. There are some signs posted along the way. Also; a google search for : 'Westminster Abbey Mission' will give some help, one site has a map.

*Difficulty: Easy, leisurely trails. About 40 minutes total.

ENLIGHTENMENT *Box is MISSING
Once at the Abbey park near the chapel. Take the wide gravel path making your way through the red gate. Walk along until you come to a fork, take the right. Continue on, enjoying the lovely view. Another fork, deceiving, only one way to go. Watch now for a pile of disappearing stones; which tell of a path on the left. Take that left path and a little way along see a multi-maple on your left. Examine it to find Enlightenment.

DIVINITY *Is now missing
Back to the trail and head on up the hill. Follow along to the wide gravel path, choose to go right admiring what used to be, long ago, a soccer field for the Monks. Follow the gravel path passing old gnarly apple trees. Curving right, now you will be treated to a gorgeous view of the Fraser River and valley down below. From the bench here move left, not so much down the trail but nearer the edge. Look for a tree that leans, as if it is afraid it will fall over the cliff. Not far away is a slim tree with a hollow, Divinity awaits.

SOLITUDE
Head back up towards the Abbey. This time taking the smaller and more windy path. At the top of the rise the trail curves sharpley to the right, just past the curve search for a tri-tree whose roots appear to be holding a stump hostage, the roots also hold Solitude. The way back to the Abbey is clear from here.

**Just a note, if possible it is wonderful to be at the Abbey when the bells are rung. The only time that is really realistic for letterboxing I think is between 4:00 and 4:30 on Sundays. Enjoy.
**The grounds of the Abbey are open until 9:00 pm. The buildings are open till 4 or 4:30 depending on the day of the week. The stained glass in the chapel is quite beautiful.
***A fun note: some of the young monks from the monastery have signed into one of the boxes, an unexpected and delightful surprise. :)
