The crevice where this box was hidden seems to have collapsed into itself. I would bet the box is still there, but I can't figure out a way to reach it. Consider it retired!

Clues: Easy, straightforward
Walk: Short, dog-friendly, but not stroller-friendly.

Little Thicket Park had unfortunately over the years became more of a dumping ground for all sorts of trash than a park. However, it has recently been restored and revitalized, thanks to the efforts of scout, civic, neighborhood and environmental groups. It offers a short paved nature trail, but its true worth is in the dirt paths all along Little Thicket Bayou (or Little White Oak Bayou)—exploring around here makes you forget you are in the midst of Houston (except for the construction noise).

Directions:
To get to the park, take the Ella exit off of 610 north loop and head south on Ella. Turn right on 23rd Street and head to the dead end. A few parking spaces are available at the end of the street.

Clues:
To the jasmine letterbox, find the start of the bayou trails on the far side of the swings. Head down the trail, switching back and forth. At your first fork, take the path to the left for 8 steps. Immediately to your left should be a small tree. Behind this tree is a pile of concrete. Jasmine is growing within the middle ledge, behind some smaller pieces of concrete. (Above the large ledge at the very bottom, to the far left). Please take the time to rehide well, so it is not seen from the trail.

Take the usual precautions such as prodding with a stick first.

There are prizes for the first 9 finders; we may replenish if we get around to it. If well received, we may turn this idea into a series.
