12/27/2008 – Tiny Tina I was reported MIA. Tina Tuna II should still be okay.

Directions: From I-84 take Exit 46. Turn North onto Eagle Road. Turn right onto Chinden Blvd. Turn left onto Glenwood. Turn left onto Riverside Dr. (directly after the bridge at the light) and another left into the tiny Soroptimist Club Park. Park and take the path to the west of the parking lot. Please note that this is a high traffic path so please, please, please re-hide well.

You will be following this path until you come to a small cement dam. There are no mile markers on this path but I would guess that you are walking about ½ mile to ¾ of a mile before coming to the dam.

“Tiny Tuna I”
Cross over the dam and continue down the path to the west. You will pass a garbage can attached to a small yellow sign that reads “Cable Route” on your right. Then you will come to a large tree on your right with a fallen log that is pointing to the path at its base. Hidden under this fallen log “Tiny Tina I” is buried under some bark, leaves and river rocks. You do not need to lift the log to get to the box.

“Tiny Tuna II”
Continue down the path to the west. You will eventually come to a large iron gate on your right. There is a small blue sign on your left that shows a picture of a dog on a leash and no bicycles. Stand at the sign and take 108 steps or 54 pages to the west. On your right you should be standing next to two trees. One of the trees has a bit of a false bottom where the bark has rotted away. Remove this false panel and hidden behind a couple of river rocks you will find Tina Tuna II resting. Please be sure to replace the bark securely other wise Tina Tuna II will be completely exposed.

Should you note the box missing, it’s contents in bad repair or if you just want to say “Hi” please contact me at Blackvelvetrav@yahoo.com. Happy hunting!
