This box is located in Sabino Canyon National Recreation area. Take the tram or walk to the Sabino Canyon trailhead. It is stop #9 on the tram or about a 3 mile walk from the visitor center. Go .5 miles up the switchback trail until you reach the split in the trail, take the lt fork to the Sabino canyon trail#23. Walk about .66 of a mile to the ridgeline and out of sight of the main canyon. Look for a white cross in the gneiss rock on the trail. The bands of the cross are about 4 inches wide and the arms are several feet long. The rock is horizontal and is on the trail. Take 9 steps and on your left you should see 2 large rocks kissing. The box is behind where the 2 rocks meet. Good luck. This is a fairly tough trail even though it is not a great distance.
