This awesome box was carved and created by Fungus Woman for the 2005 Great Lakes Exchange: Hometown Landmarks. It was my pleasure to place it in the Indianapolis area. Please email me with the condition of the box, if found.
This box is planted in:
Likess Sett Ratune Karp
Follow the main trail up into the park. You will soon start to climb a long, gradual incline. Continue climbing up and up until you see a lessor trail leading off to the left. You will see a few fallen trees across the path, not far from the main trail. Take this secondary trail, continuing to climb, further up into the forest. You will soon encounter a "wishbone". Climb through the wishbone and continue on another 5 paces until you have to choose whether to head east or west. You will head east approximately 40 paces along a deer trail until you come to a mound of rotting trees, on your left. Proceed to your left, around this mound and continue a few more yards until you see two large slabs of marble to your left. There is a tree directly in front of the marble slabs and Hoffman's Tower can be found at about eye level, tucked into the rear of the tree.
As this box was planted in early Spring, the trail may become overgrown in the summer months. This is also a remote, urban park, so please use caution and travel with a buddy.
