This box is along historic Route 66 in the Winona area of north-central Arizona. From I-40 take exit #211 and drive north. After passing the on and off ramps on the north side of the interstate bridge, drive a short distance more and turn right (east) on a paved road (Road #510) that goes down and strongly to the right. This is historic U. S. Highway 66. Park at the intersection with a dirt road that is on the opposite side of the paved road from the green “Mile 0” sign.

Locate the first wood utility/power pole east of this intersection. Walk east to the sixth wood utility pole (it has a metal number 3 on it). From this pole go at about 40 degrees (from mag. north) for about 25 steps to a moderate-size gnarly multi-trunk Juniper Tree. The box is under the north side of this tree under chunks of wood and twigs. Be alert for snakes, scorpions, and rabid animals!

Please please be sure the contents are double ziplocked when you put them back in the box (i.e. the stamp is in a ziploc, the book is in a ziploc, and the two are in the larger ziploc bag), and put all of it INSIDE the box. Please rehide the box well under the chunks of wood and twigs so that it can not be seen from any direction.

I will not be able to check on this box very often; so, please let me know if you find it, or if it is missing or needs attention:
