Ok We Got Another one for you!
The Old Mill Letterbox!
The Old Mill is in Westminster,MA on Rte 2A. If your heading west from Fitchburg it's on the left. It's a great restaurant with wonderful food and a cute little gift shop that sells almost anything you can think of from candy to Yankee Candles. Come prepared as it's almost irresistable. There's a great duck pond and water falls.
Parking across the street will help you find things more easily...plus it's a great view.
Once there find a sign with the year the Old Mill was established, remember it. Start at the first X on the upper coverred bridge. Start Walking Paces straight ahead and then turn to your left (your # of paces(steps) will be the first two digits in the year.) At This point you're going to walk the path as many paces as the second two digits of the year. Make sure you bear left across the second coverred bridge and turn right at the end. Now you're going to have to turn right and walk straight down to the water. Follow the water's edge passing laurel bushes and a young evergreen tree. Stop when you come to a stream that's coming down the hill on your left. Now, take all 4 numbers of the year (as single digits) and add them each together. Walk this number of steps up the hill (with the small stream on your right.) Cross the stream and look down to your left to notice a rock and log snuggled close together. There you'll find the Old Mill Letterbox. Please Re-hide carefully and try not to be too obvious as this is a popular place.
