Hike Distance?

Your quest will begin at Cochran Mill Park in southwest Fulton County. This Park is located one mile south of the Cochran Mill Nature Center on Cochran Mill Road. As a starting point, look for a green, double gate with two large black and yellow striped reflectors as you turn into the Park. This gate is usually closed to vehicle traffic. BYOI. One pace equals two steps.

Clues:

THROUGH THE IRON GATE
A GRAVEL ROAD WILL CALL,
ITS ALL DOWN HILL
AMID THE PINES SO TALL.

NOT FAR DOWN THIS ROAD
A BRIDGE YOU WILL SEE,
AN EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT
BY JEREMIAH C. LEE.

CROSS OVER THE CREEK
AND CONTINUE ON WEST,
THIS PEACEFUL ROAD LEADS
TO A PLACE OF ETERNAL REST.

SOON A GRASSY FIELD WILL APPEAR
SHORT POSTS ALONG ITS BORDER,
THIS SHOULD BE ON YOUR RIGHT
IF YOUR JOURNEY IS IN ORDER.

YET ANOTHER STREAM TO CROSS
THIS TIME A BRIDGE OF CONCRETE,
NOT AS CHARMING AS JEREMIAH'S
BUT BETTER THAN HAVING WET FEET.

THEN JUST BEYOND THE BRIDGE OF NOTE
THE ROAD WILL SHARPLY BEND,
BUT YOUR GOAL WILL BE STRAIGHT AHEAD
UP INTO THE WOODS ASCEND.

AT THE CREST YOU WILL FIND
MANY RESTING DOWN UNDER,
WHERE THEIR JOURNEY BEGAN
ONE CAN ONLY WONDER.

FROM THE CENTER OF THE SACRED GROUND
WITH RESPECT FOR ALL WHO PASSED THROUGH,
FIND THE NORTHWEST CORNER MARKER
AT THIRTEEN PACES AND TWO.

THE BOX IS VERY CLOSE NOW
THIS IS YOUR FINAL CLUE,
YOU ARE A MERE COFFIN LENGTH
FROM FINDING R.I.P. II.
