“Fish Out of Water” Letterbox

This box was carved and placed by Lizman (Age 10) from Boise, Idaho during the Box on the Rocks gathering.
Take highway 194 heading North from Moab and look for signs going to the Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park. Turn left on Highway 313. Immediately after turning there is a right turn for Park Information. Pull into the parking lot to start your search.
Start at the point of the raindrop in the middle of the parking lot on a crack in the pavement. Follow the raindrop half way around counterclockwise. From the raindrop count 9 small paces (or 18 child steps) across the pavement and into the sand in line with a crack in the road. Go left up to a rock and then on to a big flat rock. You will find the “Fish Out of Water” letterbox hidden under the large flat rock and behind some smaller stones.
