Easy

Notes from 5/1/11: Was notified that the box had been found exposed so I checked on it. Since it has been safe there since '05 I decided to leave it there. Just be sure it is completely hidden when it is replaced. This can be a high traffic area so be conscious of that as well. I have added a few notes in the clues that might make "log" hunting easier.

Clues:

From Arch Road in Avon, follow the signs for the Bike Path taking the road in the opposite direction from Security Drive, passing the dog pound to the Trail Parking lot.

Follow the bike trail, crossing a road. Just beyond the fence railings, see (old, short, cut)logs left (4), logs right x2 (4 smaller ones, then another set of 4 or 5) and logs right (a downed tree perpendicular to the trail) then left (small, downed white birch). Go about 19 paces and examine the right logs there (Mainly just 1 and it is deteriorating). Wait for all trail traffic to disappear before pulling this out. This is not the busiest section of the trail, but there were a few hikers/bikers out on this beautiful day. (Lots of bikers in '11). Re-conceal as naturally as possible. I’m sure the life of this box will depend on the careful discretion of those who seek and find.
