USE YOUR IMAGINATION
Sorry-- all boxes were taken by thieves.
Bring colored pens . No ink pads in two boxes.
Imagine an exciting train ride around an exciting Castle. There you have it !!
This Imagination takes place at Gillette’s Castle and travels on an imaginary train , on the original train bed that is now a Train Trail
Begin in the main parking lot where there is a concession building .
At the far north east corner is a wide dirt path. Dogs are welcome here. Walk down the path and soon pass by a small spillway and a wooden bench . Continue along and keeping the pond on your left, pass by a woods road trail on the right. Soon you will notice a lovely graceful stone bridge on the left . Look to the right and find a post with a round sign for the R. R. Trail.
From the circular RR sign, go about 25 steps on the trail, on the left, take the little path up a few steps , turn right and follow a faint path which parallels the RR trail. Go along this path for 30 steps to a large oak on the right, observe a similar path going in the opposite direction.. Take 12 steps up this path , and notice to your right a weathered brown stump at the end of a fallen tree part. Here you will find what you are seeking. Happy Birthday Flutterby from Lobsta . Return to the R.R Trail to take this trail for a train ride into imagination. Soon you come to a long wooden bridge. Imagine what fun it must have been chugging over this bridge while sitting on the train. But ~~ Look ~~ around the bend , what is that ?? A tunnel !! how exciting. Keep walking and go right through the tunnel and out the other side. Continue on the Train Trail as it goes left and up hill do not take the small trail going right . Watch on your right for a ‘autograph ‘ tree. Imagine the lovers who long ago signed this Beech Tree. Pass by and walk to the end of the line – there must have been a long bridge here at one time. Now, turn around and go back to the Autograph tree. Imagine what is hiding in a small ledge about 10 feet from that tree . Happy Birthday Flutterby !! from Butterfly
Back on the trail walk towards the tunnel but take the small trail to the left and down onto a woods road . Go right on the road now the train trail is high above your head. Stop at a large Northern Red Oak that is growing close to the ledge . Imagine what is in the box that is tucked high up about 8 feet and to the left of the big tree !. Happy Birthday Flutterby ! From Queen B Please hide the box back into the little cave and cover it with stones.
Continue on the road ,when you reach a junction, and the pond is in sight, turn left . Once again at the spillway and wooden bench, notice to the left a small unmarked trail. Go along it for ten steps and then look up a small embankment to a group of trees which hides the surprise under rocks. Happy Birthday Flutterby. From RTRW
Have fun on your imagination ride and please hide all boxes well.
